A stylish Bodleian Library Oxford wedding for a three day international affair

Having met as students at Oxford, and got engaged there, Boston-based Anna and Graeme always knew they’d get married at the magnificent Bodleian Library. Guests from the US and Canada joined them for a three-day celebration, marking a truly international affair.
Despite largescale renovations at Exeter College – my alma mater – altering original plans of a Convocation House ceremony, the Divinity School emerged as a spectacular alternative. I love the way we decorated the space with understated cane back chairs and natural florals, setting the tone for a classic and relaxed Oxford wedding.
After the most joyous confetti throw I’ve ever witnessed, our splendid bagpiper led guests over to Balliol College for the drinks reception. Meanwhile, we transformed Divinity School into a sublime dinner setting.
We had three long tables, adorned with low centrepieces by Blue Sky Flowers. Enhancing the beauty of these arrangements were breathtaking table end flower meadow installations, which brought an extra layer of elegance and vibrancy to the décor. The tableware tastefully blended old and new, with antique-style silver cutlery and contemporary Riedel glassware. Bespoke personalised menus provided a stylish finishing touch.
It was an honour to work with Anna and Graeme, infusing their day with so many personal touches. A big thank you to Louise from Taylor and Porter for beautifully capturing the essence and charm of their Bodleian Library Oxford wedding.
“It is hard to know where to begin to thank Emma for helping to create the most magical day of our lives. From start to finish she was the consummate professional. She listened to us, worked with us in every feasible way, and made us feel our wedding was the only one she was planning. The final outcome exceeded our wildest hopes by leaps and bounds. Our wedding day was absolute perfection thanks to Emma's tremendous talent. ”
