A glamorous black tie wedding at Somerley House with a palette of soft pinks and sage green

From our first meeting, I could envision Annie and Sage's classic British black tie wedding fitting perfectly at Somerley House in Hampshire. You might expect such a grand Georgian country house to feel impersonal and unwelcoming, but the couple instantly felt at home and fell for the immaculate gardens and elegance of the house.
They tied the knot outside on the lawn, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the estate’s gardens and the manor. Despite the high winds, Barker Evans skillfully captured stunning photographs of the couple and their guests.
Inspired by her middle name ‘Rose’, Annie named their dining tables after her favourite flowers and chose a palette of soft pink and sage green for the florals. The opulent gold tableware from Duchess and Butler, coupled with luxurious linens tied beautifully with the classic décor of the dining room.
While guests enjoyed dinner, we transformed the adjoining drawing room into a vibrant party space. Following a quick dress change, the debonaire newlyweds elegantly took to the floor for their first dance. It was a fabulous celebration, embodying the sophistication of a classic British black tie wedding. It was a joy to plan this beautiful Somerley House wedding.
“Having Emma as our wedding planner was without a doubt the best decision we made. We didn’t have a strong idea of what we wanted for our wedding and had spent months going back and forth with different ideas. We had a call with Emma and for the first time in all of those months, we actually felt excited about our wedding again!”

“Emma made the whole process so much more enjoyable and we could relax and enjoy our day knowing Emma was taking care of everything. From the overall planning, and recommending suppliers, to the small details on the day, everything was perfect.”
